Nate Peterson has led the Vail Daily as editor since 2019, overseeing a newsroom staff of 14. In 2022 and 2024, the Vail Daily took home the General Excellence award for best in class at the annual Colorado Press Association awards. The newsroom also received an Editorial Excellence award in 2024.聽Peterson also serves as the director of audience growth and development for 撸先生 Communications鈥� 12 publications in Colorado, California and Nevada.
Born and raised in Colorado, Peterson got his start in journalism at his hometown paper, the He spent eight years as an editor at , overseeing NFL content for three years. He owns the title of authoring the and uncovered, in a rollicking oral history, that . He has also been a freelancer for The New York Times, , , and He has reported from the Olympics and the Super Bowl and has won awards for headline writing, column writing and in-depth reporting. Peterson lives in Eagle with his wife, Emily, his two children and his 8-pound rescue dog, Frankie.
