Having grown up in Boise, Idaho, Andrea joined the Glenwood Springs Post Independent in 2023 as its assistant editor, where she covered city government, development, housing, Latino affairs and more.听
Before moving to Colorado, Andrea interned as a publishing editor for in New York City through the. Prior to moving to New York, she wrote for the鈥檚 business desk as a reporting intern.听
Andrea鈥檚 reporting work has been recognized by the, which awarded her the awards for best serious student feature and editorial in 2021, and second and third place awards for best agriculture report and general news story in 2022.听
Andrea is a graduate of Boise State University, where she worked as the editor-in-chief of the university newspaper,. She graduated with a bachelor鈥檚 degree in integrated media and strategic communications, and a Top Ten Scholar award.听
