Pop-up music at Eagle’s Nest rooftop
The entertainment stage can’t be set much higher than 10,350 feet above sea level, and that’s where you’ll find the party on Saturday afternoon on Vail Mountain. The rooftop of the Eagle’s Nest building is turned into a fun venue complete with a DJ stage and room for dancing and absolutely amazing views. J. Worra hails from Chicago but she is an established DJ and producer based in Los Angeles and plays shows in Las Vegas, Nevada, Orlando, Florida, Mexico and more. Denver’s Alana English will also be a part of this afternoon show. English has performed at Après at the Amp at the Gerald R. Ford Amphitheater and Après All Day at the base of Gondola One (No. 1) and other shows in surrounding mountain towns.
Kona Big Wave Beer is sponsoring this event at the Eagle’s Nest rooftop and it is free but you need to get your wristband in advance. 400 wristbands will be available on a first-come, first-served basis starting at 9 a.m. on Saturday at the walking path east of the Lionshead ticket office. King has shared the stage with Chris Stapleton, Nathaniel Rateliff and others. King normally tours as the Marcus King Band but he is enjoying this two month stint with Smithers, who plays guitar in King’s band.
Get ready for a sweet show but get your tickets fast, at press time there was limited availability. There are some unique VIP tickets available, some that let you view the show from the side stage, along with photo ops, a Q and A with the duo, an autographed poster, a special gift and more. Beaver Creek is known for its fine dining at its iconic on-mountain cabin restaurants, Beano’s, Zach’s and Allie’s, but it’s taking the culinary experience one step further. The Alpine Table: A Cabin Chef Series invites guest chefs from notable restaurants to come to Beaver Creek and create a unique dining experience.
“Last season, we partnered with The Wolf’s Tailor at Zach’s Cabin, and the response was incredible—it was a sold-out event that truly resonated with our guests,” said Eric Dunn, communications manager for Beaver Creek.
This year, Beaver Creek wanted to build on that success by expanding the series to feature three weekends and six nights of elevated culinary experiences.
“By collaborating with Michelin-recognized restaurants from across the state, we’re excited to showcase exceptional chefs and unique dining experiences in Beaver Creek’s unparalleled alpine setting.”
This Sunday and Monday you’ll find Blackbelly Market and Restaurant of Boulder and Denver at Beano’s Cabin. Blackbelly was awarded a Green Star for Sustainable Gastronomy by the Michelin Guide in 2023 and 2024. Executive chef and owner, Hosea Rosenberg, was the winner of one of Bravo’s “Top Chef” competitions.
“Collaborating with Chef Hosea Rosenberg and the Blackbelly team is such an exciting opportunity,” said Mackenzie Nichols, executive chef for Beano’s Cabin. “It’s always inspiring to work with another chef to create a menu that blends our styles and showcases the best ingredients available. Events like The Alpine Table allow us to push the boundaries of what mountain dining can be.”
To add to the experience, guests will travel via a snowcat-drawn open-air sleigh to and from the restaurant, which is an experience in itself. Get your tickets for Sunday or Monday night at under Signature Events. Upcoming events include next month’s two-day event at Zach’s Cabin with Beckon, which is already sold out, but there is still some availability for the March 27-28 event at Allie’s Cabin with the new Tavernetta Vail.
Owls, whiskey and beanies at the Colorado Snowsports Museum
The Colorado Snowsports Museum will prove it is much more than a museum on Saturday with special programming that spans from meeting live owls and learning about their characteristics to tasting bourbon with local ties to Vail and some cute knit hats to keep out the winter chill.

The theme at Vail Winterfest this year is Night Owls and along Gore Creek you can see several ice sculptures of those raptors of the night. But, if you want to see real owls in person, come to the Colorado Snowsports Museum on Friday. The Raptor Education Foundation will be on hand to teach you about these creatures and their interesting adaptations for hunting and survival. Drop in between 1-4 p.m. or come specifically for the presentation from 2-2:30 p.m.

After a chilly week, a nice warm hat and a swig of bourbon maybe help you heat up. The Colorado Snowsports Museum is hosting a Beanies & Bourbon event on Saturday between 4-6 p.m. Stop by and shop the collection of ߣÏÈÉú Girl beanies and apparel and grab a sip of Avy Dog Bourbon.
ߣÏÈÉú Girl is a brand created by local Dana Erickson out of her love for skiing and the outdoors. These colorful knit hats with the fun and fashionable fur poms on the top look great if you’re tooling around town or covering up your helmet hair at après ski.
Avy Dog Bourbon was created in honor of Vail Mountain’s first working canine, Henry the avalanche rescue dog. His legacy lives on through Avy Dog Bourbon, created and bottled in Gypsum by 10th Mountain Whiskey & Spirits Company. Free samples will be available throughout the event so stop by and learn a little about the history of Henry and the current canine patrol dogs.
